Andy Warhol: The Warhol Economy

So, last night just before I dosed off I decided to watch Andy Warhol's 'Factory Girl' in bed. It was my second or third time watching it but I always discover something fresh or new with it. I can't believe how intrigued I am by the character that plays Andy Warhol, Guy Pearce. WOW! I swear, in my head, that's what Andy really looked like. I think he married the character with everything he has. I guess that's what comes with emulating someone of that caliber. Intensity at its best. The glasses completed his face. Without them he just didn't quite look like him.
Oh and dear Miss Little Lady Sienna Miller *sigh* loved! loved! loved her performance.

Any who, I have been meaning to purchase this book for almost 2 years now. I know almost everything in it from all the reviews I've read and following Warhol's Art. I mean, the inspiration from all corners of media from then to date. There's a piece in the book that reminded me of a scene I in the movie and it goes something like this

"...you don't listen to the lyrics without keeping time with the beat,
you don't go into a room without seeing who else is there,
and you don't go to a show without at least acknowledging that
- beyond all other subjectivities -
the rules of perception might have a lot
to do with what drugs everyone was on and who left with who..."

this won't make much of sense unless or until you watch the movie or read this book. He breaks down how everything started about in the fashion industry in the 70's and 80's.

Just get your hands on this book, yes, I will too, just to say I have a piece on Andy in my house :)
