Lent

noun

(in the Christian religion) an annual season of fasting and penitence in preparation for Easter, beginning on Ash Wednesday and lasting 40 weekdays to Easter, observed by Roman Catholic, Anglican, and certain other churches.

So, for the first time I've committed myself to lent. I have never done it before but i'm willing to give it a swing. The following are the things I'm taking a break from:

• twitter (yeah, I know)
• alcohol
• junk food (sweets etc)

Here's to the first year of discipline...for 40 DAYS.
